outdoor sculpture assignment

outdoor sculpture assignment
it doesn’t look like much now…but it is going to be pretty cool, i predict. i have more of these cans in the works. eventually, they are all going to be spray painted yellow and installed in a decaying urban location that features colorful, peeling blue paint.

by the way, i welcome any title ideas for this assignment. i am terrible at concepts and names….
i will post pictures of the actual installation later but for now picture this…

a forest of these cans with twigs ‘planted’ in them, all spray painted yellow (the entire thing—can, twigs, and all) arranged in an empty lot created by a building demolition….set against a wall which acts as a retainer for the sloping hill of the overpass that crosses overhead….the wall is L-shaped and features peeling yellow paint on the outside and peeling blue paint (about the same shade that is on the bag of plaster) on the inside…the ‘forest’ will be arranged in front of the blue wall…under a canopy of spring green grass which springs from a cement overpass….
